Research has shown that children’s brains are more active when they are given the opportunity to play and explore outdoors. Therefore, we ensure that much of the children’s day is spent in the gardens or going for walks to the local Belfast parks and nature reserves.
Our fantastic outdoor facilities provide a vital source of discovery and learning. The gardens are well equipped with multi-level wooden structures, bikes, trikes and much more. These inspire the children to let off steam by running, climbing and sliding which are all essential and lots of fun. In addition, the natural world also stimulates their senses – colours, smells, sounds and textures.
Children cultivate a relationship with nature when they develop awareness of the changes in the weather throughout the year. They find it interesting to search for creepy crawlies while playing outdoors, learn about their habitats, plant seeds and discover the miracle of growth.
